tata indicom post paid connection questions

i have a tata indicom post paid connection. it's in the name of a friend who is no longer residing in this city. i need to get it disconnected. what is the process of getting it disconnected? would i need my friend's presence or some form of documentation for the disconnection?

You would at least need to get signature on the terminating form..

i managed to get in touch with the 121 guys. the dude on the phone said that i just need an ID proof of the original connection owner. i am trying to get that through email so that i can change the ownership of the connection to my name. then i would try to get it disconnected. actually the dude on the phone told me that i can get the connection disconnected on the phone itself i decided to get the ownership changed and converting it from postpaid to prepaid.
