Tata Sky DTH: IBN-Lokmat on INSAT 4A

Maharashtra assembly elections are due next month. We need more marathi news channels. IBN-Lokmat is the best marathi news channel and it is on same satellite that Tata Sky uses i.e. INSAT 4A. Tata Sky should be able to add that easily. Else they should allow users to search for FTA channels.

News is not necessarily on particular channel. the elections will be under coverage out of the many news channel.

In that case not even the cable operator broadcast's each and every channel in India.

Local cable operator serves for small area and population. Channel demand for that area is also defined (regional language + National/International popular channels + Sports/News/Kids channels). But DTH has to provide nation wide service, so they have to be selective in channels, to adjust most popular channels for all regions.

Atleast they claim that way. But still we don't understand it when they don't add popular demand channel saying those channels are not popular (like NEO on DISH TV, ZEE channels on Tata Sky). It all depends upon company's business interest first then later may be on customer's demands.

Yes it should be vice-versa importance should be given to customer demand first.
