tata sky hd dth: New hd boxes in jan 2011

It is better to get an official source date cc won't give any specific date until then speculating makes no sense.

Spoke with CC today...they are not commiting any date. At present, in many cities they are out of stock for current HD STBs. No guarantee on migration plan from SD STB to HD STB later on. No confirmation on new STB availability date. :frown::frown:

Hey guys,Good news and some not-so-good news. Got a call from Tata Sky last evening. They are back with HD stbs! The not-so-good news is that there has been no upgrades to the HD stb (no HD+ yet). It still sells at Rs. 2599 as before. They have started giving calls to all people (including me) who had left enquiries with them regarding HD in the past few months. We are being given priority for our wait (which is a good thing). Also I got mega pack which costs 6000 for 5300 bucks. so i placed an order with them over the phone itself. At the moment they only selling them over the phone through helpline. Unfortunately they havent sent them to retailers yet. Dont know when that'll come up.

hi, i got the call from my local dealer today, and he says that he will get them from Monday. the price too is same, 2600 as the earlier. though he did'nt indicate anything regarding hd+.

Any exchange offer that you were offered for old SD STB's?

I'm new to Tata Sky. I've had sd stb from dishtv till now. I need to cancel that connection now.

Called CC again. Apparently, it may not e launched before the world cup throughout the country....He said if you want a HD STB then you will have to give the address of friend/relative living in NCR,Pune,Mumbai,Bangalore who can then ship it to you otherwise there is very little chance of it being launched all over before 19h Feb. Also, there are no exchange offers..
