tata sky hd dth: New hd boxes in jan 2011

Can anyone order Tata Sky hd (living in delhi,mumbai,etc.) and add it on ebay. Need one desperately.

Hi all,

Called the CC today and was talking to them in a harsh manner and told them today, i will decide whether i will move to a different service or you will arrange me this HD stb... so after my call was escalated to 2-3 persons, one person took my call and assured me that i will get a call in 30 minutes... 30 minutes later i got a call and they told that in a rare exceptional case, they will arrange the box for me from B'lore where they hav re-launched the HD box this week... He also promised me that i will get the latest box and not the older one since i was pestering him like anything. And he asked me to pay today itself so that i will the box in 4-5 days...

And guys who got this latest HD box, pls tell whats the difference bet. this and the earlier one... Bcos i get a feel that they might giv away the older one fearing that i will go to airtel or SunDirect...

By appearance , looks and remote both boxes are the same, it looks like they have got the fresh stocks from the supplier.

I also ordered one more HD box for my cousin. He lives in Gujarat. The box looks the same and IS the same. The new HD Plus boxes are still not out and I think we should wait for about a month atleast.

@frankmehtaI dont think waiting for HD plus would be fruitful, except recording facility I dont think it offers anything else. How many of us record tv. I myself had waited 2 mths for HD stb, happy with it. And HD plus would be costlier than HD stb and Tata Sky + stb.

Got the new Tata Sky HD+ DVR today for Rs. 3999/- . Presently, it's available thru call center and with Credit/Debit card payment only. It's just day 1 and I'm loving it.
