TS is launching dual access remote recording by this month end

Tata Sky launches three new features on its premium PVR offering-Media-Media/Entertainment -News By Industry-News-The Economic Times

Remote TV option was already there in TS+ since inception but that was hidden and you could access that by going to organiser, then system and then by pressing zero, one and then select keys.

It seems that after the launch of Airtel PVR with mobile recording, TS is also enabling that hidden feature.

wow....it seems Tata Sky has finally realised that they need to do more to the customers to survive...cant wait to use the features mentioned above especially scheduling the recordings thru mobile or internet.This feature of dual access remote recording will be very usefull.

Dual access remote recording
Subscribers will now be able to instruct their Tata Sky+ digicomp to record any program either through a mobile phone or through the internet. The digicomp needs to be in the power on state for the recording to be successful.

Through the Internet:
Registration: Subscribers who are not already registered online will have to first register on www.mytatasky.com.
Recording: Registered subscribers will be able to access the Programme Guide once they sign in and see the programme listings for 3 days. They can select and set any show for recording through this Programming Guide.
Through a Mobile Phone:
Registration: Subscribers will need to send a SMS to 56633 and in return will receive an application that will have to be downloaded on the mobile phone ONLY ONCE. The keyword for this SMS will be shared shortly. Once downloaded, the application will ask the subscriber to register by entering a subscriber ID and a password. This password will be different from the subscriber’s online registered password.
Recording: Once this application is downloaded, subscribers will be able to access the Programme Guide through this application. Every time a subscriber wishes to record a programme on the go, all he needs to do is:
• Click on the Tata Sky+ application installed in the mobile phone
• Login using the Subscriber ID and Password
• Browse the Programme Guide with 3 day listings
• Record show/s of his choice
(Note: This application will work only on GPRS enabled Java handsets and will be available at the end of this month.)

Will the application on mobile require internet to update its guide whenever we login to the application or the internet will be used only for the first time when we download the application... as if it requires internet every time we use the application,it wont be of any help as its charged heavily for activating internet in vodafone, dont know abt others.....so plz clarify this detail - does the appln work without internet ???

On TS+ website DTH , recording from mobile and internet feature is listed. Still that is not yet enabled. After logging in to mytatasky.com there is nothing about recording feature
