First try to telecast FTA channels in their boxes, then to offer other technology / services

You are absolutely correct.
Kura eri Kozhi pidikka theriyadhavan, vanam eri vaigundam ponana.

I don't think the current EPG is good enough to be able to use a PVR automatically. They would have to improve that first.

Hey pvr means we can only record with the stb and just watch and after that delete? OR We can record the channels and can we transfer that to the pc to record on the dvds?

fyki, TS is gonna provide this feature only with a special price. Yup, you are gonna pay if you wanna record. :wall::wall:

ok can we record with the pvr and transfer it to the pc to burn it to the dvd?

I was checkimg the specs of DVR provided by sky UK, in their sky+ package.

It has only and RS232 serial port/ 115 kbps for connection to a pc; obviously this cannot be used for transferring stored videos (upto 40 hours of viewing with 160gb hard disc).

If programmes can only be stored and cannot be copied for distribution, then copyright issues may not arise.

You cant transfer what you've recorded. Also, you wont have access to atleast have of the memory. TS will be using that to record its VOD programmes, which will be shown to you if you subscribe to it or will be erased later.
