Tata Sky Vs Sun TV case Latest News

I believe this is the correct list of 15 Sun Channels:

Code:
E = Entertainment
Mo = Movies
Mu = Music
N = News
K = Kids

Tamil (5)
Sun TV (E)
K TV (Mo)
Sun Music (Mu)
Sun News (N)
Chutti TV (K)

Malayalam (2)
Surya TV (E)
Kiran TV (E)

Telugu (4)
Gemini TV (E)
Teja News / Gemini News (N)
Teja TV (Mo)
Adithya TV / Gemini Music (Mu)

Kannada (4)
Udaya TV (E)
Udaya Movies / Ushe Tv (Mo)
Udaya News / Udaya Varthegalu (N)
Udaya2 (Mu)

Gemini Cable Vision seems to be a local cable channel in Andhra Pradesh.
15 channels plus four channel renames (counted for copyright and trademark purposes) + GCV = 20.

I have compiled this list from Sun's programing schedule page and various other sources. And the above article too says that Tata-Sky will be showing 15 Sun Channels.

oh my god... 50-55 rs / month ? then they ll increase the subscription rate know...:(:(
They will not incread the subscription rate atleast for the next 6 months..........(This is my assumption)

well i hope that shouldn't happen at all.....:)

and one more thing... anything above 300 or 350 max is not good for the consumer :wall::wall:

I have not recevied any reply mail from the CCOO office till now :confused::(

I guess rates will be around 350 for all channels and they will launch south indian packages also for around 250 ... They surely need to add more packages... cos I will need all channels except these south ones ... So I shouldn't be forced to pay 350... isn't it

The article I mentioned was not the one posted by jjvj. It is another one from the Hindu posted by stev29.
https://broadband.forum/tata-sky-dth/15179-date-channels-will-announced-shortly/

It is a big mess. The list of channels granted down linking rights include channels that don't figure here. 15 vs. 20. I think Sun itself does not know how many channels it is broadcasting and their names.

Just wait for sometime
Sun Direct TV, if they are delaying their launch to December '07 and want to capture the South Indian market has only the strategy that they offer the entire Sun boquet of channels free of cost to the subscriber who buys the Sun DTH from them and offering other channels of Star & Zee at a nominal cost of say between Rs.250 to Rs.300/- p.m.
In Kerala Asianet is providing their Digital Cable Network for a nominal amount of Rs.200/- p.m.:yahoo:
