yes dear aju, you left me alone this time and enjoyed samosas alone. :(:O

Even i came online now and was shocked to see this news, and Very Happy too. just called the dealer to inform him also.

To my surprise this time there is no NEW THREAD with this news. Thats good.

And about the Case, i think they knew it b'coz few months ago TDSAT ordered Sun to give signals in 3 days, and they started to mention it in their website also that the Sun channels will be available soon as per TDSAT order .. but later removed it after Sun approached Madras high court and got stay.

anyway here are few more details found from other website ..

NEW DELHI: After nearly a year of litigation in Supreme Court and broadcast tribunal TDSAT, Direct-to-Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky and broadcaster Sun TV have settled their dispute on channel sharing and pricing.
During proceedings at Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), counsels appearing for both sides today informed the bench that the issue has been resolved and requested to dispose of the petition.
Accepting this, TDSAT Chairman Justice Arun Kumar directed to dispose of the petition along with various applications filed by the two parties against each other.
As per the paper submitted by the counsels before the bench, TataSky will offer all 20 channels in its entry packages in southern states. This will also be open for their all-India subscribers.
Earlier on August 1, Sun TV had informed TDSAT that it would provide region-wise packages of its channels to TataSky.
Sun TV had offered its 20 channels in six packages at different rates, which was rejected by TataSky on the ground that it was not consumer friendly. Sun Tv's each package consisted of Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada channels and TataSky had sought a regional package consisting of one vernacular language channel only.
The TDSAT had on March 19 in an interim order directed Sun TV to give signals to TataSky on a pick-and-choose basis at 50 per cent of the cable charges. However, it was stayed by the Madras High Court and later the Supreme court directed the tribunal to dispose off the matter within a time frame.
The DTH operator has approached the tribunal last year after not getting any response from the Sun TV to its formal request to share the feed of its channels. As per TRAI rules, a broadcaster has to provide its feed to the operator within 30 days of any such request.

On the pricing issue, both parties informed the tribunal that due to 'reasons of confidentiality' they were unable to provide the whole details, which was accepted by TDSAT.

As per the agreement, TataSky a 80:20 joint venture between Tata group and broadcast major Star India, will provide channels in combined packages to subscribers. It was earlier demanding Sun TV's channels on pick and choose basis.
Some of the major channels which will now be available on TataSky's platform are Sun Tv, K Tv Sun Music, Sun News, Gemini, Teja, Gemini Music, Gemini News, Udaya Tv, Udaya News and Chutti Tv.

Sun Direct TV may launch their services by September 15 and Tata Sky may simultaneously start transmission of their Sun Channels by this date but to survive Sun needs to include the channels of Star as well as Zee but as Tata Sky and Zee TV has captured the market Sun Direct TV may offer their channels free or at a nominal cost. This may be their strategy to capture their market in South India
