Hello Everybody
Most of the people didn't understand the
Tata Teleservices Metro Ethernet service here.
Leased Lines are not only used to improve the connectivity uptime and get higher speed, it is also used to create a WAN (Wide-Area-Network)
That is where Tata Teleservices Metro Ethernet taps comes in.
They have introduced Metro Ethernet services to network your offices spread across in multiple metro cities into a Wide-Area-Network to eliminate the bandwidth expenses and to facilitate higher connectivity speed among the offices.
Like that which is available in pretty much everywhere outside of India, and just the same as every other provider who sticks an ethernet cable through your window and says "here's your Internet connection".
The exception that Metro Ethernet is used to provide *consumer* level internet services everywhere else in order to reduce bandwidth expenses. Businesses don't use as much bandwidth as consumers do by a long shot (per seat, of course).
But it's not of terribly much use unless people are sending data within the Tata network. As most content is still hosted outside of India or needs to be sent internationally - as such, many clients who would "benefit" from this kind of higher-speed service in fact won't see much benefit at all from this style of infratructure.
Hell, most of Ukraine is a giant metro-ethernet network (hence 100mbit/s within that country and a given plan speed on international bandwidth.
As an aside, this "new" offering is very similar to our Hayai Zone.
