telnet wont work on GLB 502t

i hv a NU plan..so 4 tht auto router reboot is necessary as u all knw.....

but 4 sum reason ..telnet seesion to my router wnt wrk

as in
if i type telnet in run and thn type o 192.168.1.1
we shuld hv a screen with busybox login info

on my end....it wont open tht.

however if i reset my router{GLB 502T} and thn do it it will telnet but for only 1 time.:wall:

and yes internet is working.router and all is fine..i.e i can login to router via browser

i knw its not related to MTNL...but i hope the mods do understand the relevance and importance of the post

Are you sure the router IP address is 192.168.1.1 ?
Type Ip config/all and recheck.

Friend, what is your local IP and gateway? try http: // gatewayIP and see whether it is working (ie, http://192.168.1.1 ). If that is working and telnet is not working, then check the firewall/security softwares (23 port may be blocked by firewall/security software in your system=>this got nothing to do with forwarding) !

ipconfig will give you the default IP n gateway..

If you are not able to login thru http: //GatewayIP, restart the router (power off/on) and try

all the best !

Usually Telnet is used when GUI page in modem is not available for PF for torrents.
Free to reject/ignore all comments/posts,!!!!!!!!!!!!! but someone else may find it useful.

heres ipconfig for u guys!!
ipv6 is beacuse of the os VISTA!!

only option is for webaccess &SSH access

i use root to login.....but if the telenet session is not opned then no login name .....root ,admin will wrk na.....

i haVE NOD 32 3.x and for OS XP & VISTA i had disabled its firewall and then tried still the same.........

windows firewalll is disabled by nod..........

also xp mei .....firewalll disable ki try kiya same thing...........telent port 23 ki exception add ki same thing.........

You have to disable IP6, only IP4 works here also I would strongly recommend that you remove or edit the Pix showing your 'Physical address' its also called MAC for security reasons. Its unique to your NIC and should NOT BE displayed to the wide world

u have to first enable it ........

i thought its not even available as an option in home editions of vista. even remote desktop connection is disabled but can be activated using a script. microsoft is pathetic.

btw it aint wrking in XP as well ....asloo hw to diable IPv6......and y ......., wht gud will it do?
