Hi guys, I'm using Manjaro Linux. I'm getting around 60 Mbps in macOS/mobile, but getting terrible speed (~500Kbps) in Linux. But with Airtel Data, the speed is good in Linux. How can I troubleshoot?

I'd be really surprised if this has anything to do with your ISP.

How are you checking speed in macos and mobile? And checking same way in linux???

Just try fast.com or speedtest.net in linux and see?

Also, avoid wifi and check with ethernet cable

It might be due to mtu, reduce mtu value in manjaro linux's connected wifi's settings (reduce it to 1450 or lower) or reduce it in the router.

Yes, I'm using fast.com on all the devices, and the same server settings as well. I tried with MTU values from 1410-1460 with a step of 10 in wifi settings. I don't have access to router settings, the LCO guy is saying BSNL has asked them not to share the router credentials. What can I do?

I'm getting 200 Mbps in linux with ethernet. So what is the problem with WiFi?

As you can see you have a slow older wifi chip probably which is connected to older 2.4 ghz band which gives max around 40 to 60 mbps real world speed.

Also it's possible your fiber ont router is basic single band 2.4 ghz model but I doubt this because you said macos working fine.
