Horizontal stretch 4 times, vertical stretch 3 times. This is a very simple thing to do.. they are making a big deal out of it. In Linux u can do that by one single 'ffmpeg' command.

Yes right. And thats why things look stretched. Thats what K Jo showed in Asli HD ad - mere stretching of regular video/image.And what amish mentioned is completely logical to convert 4:3 to 16:9, its something like "Squaring" the term. So 4x4:3x3 = 16:9.But this is helpful at times while watching Cricket matches atleast - the score appears crystal clear from longer distances too!! Btw, any1 has tried this 3D channel?
