They should make ACTIVE bar like Tata Sky i.e. in left up corner or DishTV should keep option in settings that if we want that ACTIVE bar flashing or not..
VC No is flashing on all the dth and it is not their on the screen permanently, its just flash on screen and automatically removed from their. and this number is flshing their just for security purpose and to stop piracy of signals.
Also that Active Bar is also not permanently stuck their. Further Channel logo and dishtv logo is always their. Also dishtv logo is watermark logo and small one. Not like bigtv logo which is quite BIG and also not watermak.
Sourabh, are you dish TV employee or partner of dish tv? I can see every where you comment in opposite way. See this thread first.. did anyone supported the irritating active bar? If is FTA channel there might some meaning. But we pay for it and we just collect the feed back from others. We don't say completely remove it. Just wanted to minimize the text. Someone said they can give some "egg" symbol. That is good idea and healthy argument.

You can temporarily get rid of this 'Active Bar' by directly keying in the channel number while watching that channel & then pressing the jump button. It will come back once you change the channel.:wall:For eg. if you want to get rid of the 'Active Bar' on Star Movies (419) then,1.View channel no. 4192.Now directly key in the no. 419 from the remote3.Press the jump button on the remote ( the rounded arrow key)4.The 'Active Bar' disappears until you change the channel.Hope this helps.:thumbsup:
Another way would be to simply goto Menu>Active Services>Music Active or Sports Active. Both the Active Services are blank at the moment, so you would watch the normal ch that you were watching. And this step gets rid of the Active bar as well as the Dish TV logo...!! :clap: But it will come back if you change the ch or if you press "Exit".
