led bulbs is even worth considering?
i heard led bulbs throw more light vertically(straight) , how can it be used at places other than showrooms and all?

I have a LED bulb right here. I do not find them much different from other bulbs. Except that they are really painful if you look at them directly.

It's supposed to last much longer than CFL and runs cooler. Power saving too.

From a power saving perspective, I don't think its worth getting them over CFL's. Though it might become if their prices come down.

did you try to find syska branded bulb? cannot find online
it says its same cost as CFL , and life would be virtually unlimited so Philips brand doesnt matter

you mean light is spread evenly in all direction just like normal bulb and CFL?
