Hmm... ok ... Fair enough ... That makes a lot of sense.I also got the Blackberry Curve price cut info from the above telecom website, but when I found it is blocked, I just checked the blackberry website & posted a link from there

^^^ true. Plus most of their topics are more like an Ads/Press release for the various companies though some nice informative articles are also published. But yeah it's more of like trying to please the companies and act as indirect marketing tool (since they have huge no. of visitors) rather than using its popularity to put forward consumers issues.

well i can understand that model of work. you keep the companies happy, you get sponsorships and you get indirect marketing through them. i have seen enough of airtel 3g crap being retweeted by airtel on twitter. rather annoying stuff. but airtel of course would never retweet my posts about how badly they have priced their 3G connections.

i have personally suffered enough. both financially and emotionally. for my nature to highlight the issues and target these companies for their scammy operations. techwhack was a pretty profitable operation for me. but then i started using it as a tool to highlight the issues with the broadband scene in india and bam... sponsorship gone (forced me to make some changes to continue to make money from it and that killed the rankings and hence traffic). i can probably make a lot more money on this forum if i starts partnering with the telecom companies in india and start 'censoring' stuff that they do not like. but that's who i am. i do not care if this forum too suffers from the same fate. it stands for something and i am proud of what we do here.

Telecom-talk is one shit site where it copies down all from different BIG sites and If i were the Admin of this Forum well i would have also done the same thing which sushubh did. :)

Well If you do, then you would gain for a brief while, but in the longer run, people who come here to give feedback & help others with suggestions would simply go away and this would become another of those other sites.

another of those other sites.

exactly. i am actually waiting for a friend to revert back to me for techwhack. i want to sell it to a bigger group so that i can become part of a larger network. i have done what i could do with it. the only two options remaining with me are to either shut it down or sell it off. trying the second. if nothing can be worked out, would probably shut it down. then look for a job and manage this forum as a side project.

What i feel is this forum is gonna grow more faster than ever in coming time since no. of BB users whether through 3G/Wimax/"LTE"/DSL/Cable/fiber are going to increase for sure & so will there grievances and suffering in the hands of all these same existing ISPs. :@

Most of us find solace by ranting here :P + support/help from other members is always there & most of the members will agree to that ! :thumb:
