Read it - nice.

I have not seen your roads - I do not know why they want gates on road.

But shouldn't gates be just at edge of their house (that most houses have) to protect toddlers or kids?

Like this? (why on roads?)

because people believe that they have a right of ownership to the road in front of their house. the guy who was verbally abusive to me yesterday actually complained about how the removal of gates would cause these problems:

  • Kids would no longer be able to play on the road.
  • Parents would now need to keep an eye on their kids so that they do not venture out on the road.
  • People from outside the lane would now use the lane to pass through in their cars.

And he also said that why am I getting the pillar (while shouting at the welder guys and being abusive to me) removed because we/they would need to install the gates again. Despite knowing that it was us who filed a court case against the gate and we are not in support of us and the gate is in front of our house, attached to our house's outer wall. And of course, pretending to ignore that the gate is illegal as per HUDA policies and of course the fundamental right to movement. No private person has the authority to block access to a public road unless they have approval from a legal authority which in this case would be HUDA and HUDA cannot provide any exemption under their own current policies.

Why did you let those guys attach the gate to your outer wall?Should have stopped him then and there.

the guy is a politician cum businessman. lost the mla election few years ago. behaves like a goon. as i said, he was pretty verbally abusive to me. these kind of people leave you with little choice.

the cops have been totally avoiding the whole situation. city deputy commissioner had asked for 110 cops for yesterday's proceedings. HUDA got ZERO. when i went to the cops last time around to get them to come to our place and stop the installation of gates, i was told on my face, what's wrong with gates, they are for our own good. we should support them. and they cannot get involved till we start an argument and things get physical/violent.

here is an example of how government officials and rwas use media to influence public opinion.

This was published in Navbharat Times yesterday. The reporter was kind enough to take dad's comments. But still went on to publish dad's name and our home address. This should have never happened. You do not publish people's address in news reports. This makes us a target for anyone who does not like the demolition of gates. Makes us a target. This one was probably sponsored by the HUDA officials as dad got a call on his mobile number which is not exactly public information while the demolition was going on.

This was published in Dainik Bhaskar today. Completely sponsored by the RWA of my sector. RWA President is lying twice in this small article. The gate which forced us to go to the High Court was installed at our sidelane without our permission. 40-50 people came together and forcibly installed it attached to our house. Plus the gates are not open through the day. Most of the gates that were demolished day before yesterday were the ones which remains closed 24x7. For blocking traffic. And the reporter made sure that he did not take any comments from dad. The last line is pretty interesting though.

@Gurugram Niwasi

If you dad is the petitioner then his name will be public unless he gets an order to keep his name confidential.I know this from personal experience.Ofcourse there are certain type of cases where names are kept confidential.

Is that Dabur guy the one who was abusing?

All in all your gate todo abhiyaan was successful.Congrats.
