Thermal paste in lockdown for pc

Cooler Master makes some good thermal compound. But as he said that the computer won't even start, I think that the issue is something else.

you have heat sync and fan just put it on it;s ok cpu won;t die without thermal paste .

never use the toothpaste and wax, you will permanently damage motherboard & cpu and may also attract fire. If you have no thermal paste, just dry and clean surface and you are good with the sink & fan till you get the thermal paste from Amazon/shop.

bhai koi computer shop wala tere ghr ke pass rehta h to usse lelo,
rest tum toothpaste lgaoge wo thik se kaam ni krega , thermal paste hi lena hoga ..

CPU is off not using it.. this will actually allow me to spend more time breathing some fresh air now in balcony

@Samuel no didn't wipe any thermal paste everytime heatsink is removed it needs new one , I only came to know after I removed it as system kept shutting off 4seconds.

Before shutdown I did buy toothpaste and brush, but who could have known themral paste koh buy karkei rakhna tha

No contact with some local computer repair chaps? They might be able to procure it for you if you give them some premium over the price.
