time taken for bsnl broadband password change

Hi,how much time it takes for the bsnl broadband password changed to take effect?i've changed the password via selfcare website but when i added that password to my modem it said authentication failure.. still old password is being used right now

Instant for me. Changed via selfcare and changed it in the router.

yes at max it should take 1 hr only just call selfcare and change your settings in router (dont mid about router if you have bridge)
