Time to shut down my Standard Chartered India bank account!

Yup. Still no progress. Contacted Standard Chartered on Facebook. They still have not received my request for account cancellation. Seriously... What do these fucks want from me?

I was trying to do the same with my ICICI account too. But Yes Bank guys never sent a representative to open my DMAT account with them despite several requests I made.I guess I would keep ICICI active for the time being for backup. After all I struggled for so long to get a pass book from them!

lol. my mom has an account there. i am terrified to go to the bank to get anything done. people are so rude there.i am quite happy with yes bank. except that they do not have credit cards. people are quite friendly.

Yes Bank offers Amex cards, check with them. It is a charge card as well, no preset limits

I can't afford Amex plus it is not accepted everywhere.

1st year is free, 2nd year you can ask them to waive charge , they will do it based on your usage history
