The latest development is Samsung is going to merge Tizen with Bada OS. I don't see any clear purpose behind it. Why not experiment with it for some time like Nokia did with MeeGo (in the form of Harmattan). They can keep this OS for experimental purpose and later can add its improvements/innovations to Bada or merge with it. They can also use it for other products like Smart TVs, laptops etc. Being a Linux based, Tizen is the best option for research and experimenting and company as huge as Samsung can easily afford it.

samsung has not confirmed any plans from what i have read. there are strong rumors. but they are rumors for now.

Whatever, I just wish this company to be more innovative and Tizen is the best opportunity they have got.
