hi pal my stb has no option of changing the settings what to do with that its locked.... nothing is changeable.... what to do.?

Thanks to all the guys who have posted and helped others to realign the dish themselves. I could do it myself and helped my friend also in this regard, after having a harrowing time with the customer care who told us to wait for 2 days whenever called. Our dealer also when approached directed to some guys who said will charge Rs.200 for realignment. Thanks once again for saving us the trouble and 200 bucks.

sun direct is good for tamil/malayalam people.

but they are comming and doing all these

why u need to be a technical person??

Call them they will do it for U

u should know " how to switch on the receuver / how to change channel / how to increase volume "

its coz of their vigorous marketting strategy .

As far as I know Tata Sky had a good customer care earlier. Its interactive features are probably the best at that time[I had a very good experience with the service in mumbai in 2007 before moving to a new flat and now back to bangalore].Not sure if they are maintaining it at the same level now or not..but sun direct is always looking out for new customers with attractive offers even during the satellite black out! Its not an issue as long as they give proper service, or atleast clarify things by giving quick info or updates directly to the customers[by mailing them important info about their account].
Compared to tatasky, sun direct looks medieval service with no proper mailing system[directly to the new STB] or interactive news/sports channels..Airtel and d2h also seem to have some good features. Its a critical time for sun direct with no utv channels and its reputation having taken a severe beating ever since the blackout and realignment...
It has suddenly lost its cool factor as bindaas, utv action, utv movies and bloomberg utv[especially I liked "the pitch" for entrepreneurs] have a lot to offer. I also miss ndtv goodtimes travel shows and "heavy petting".Hope they are back in the basic pack soon to give that edge that sun direct badly needs now!
