Top Gear (BBC)

well shit. I know he is big but isn't top gear the show it is coz of both the presenters and BBC's influence?

I mean the stunts and locales they show are only possible by BBCs clout?
 
I am sure someone like Netflix and Amazon can arrange for the same. People watch Top Gear because of Clarkson. Without Clarkson there is no Top Gear :)
 
Yes, but people shouldn't sympathize with bullies. Anyone else who'd have punched his colleague at work place would've been sacked.
 
i doubt anyone is feeling bad for clarkson. people are feeling bad for the show. clarkson has been an ass for like for ever. bbc did the right thing by firing him assuming this was the first time he actually hit someone on the show.
 
i would imagine that is to save the show. not to sympathize with him. i doubt any of his fans would consider him a nice person (on telly at least). his image is why top gear sells. this is the differentiating factor which makes top gear what it has been for so many years. sure i would love to have top gear back on tv. but i do not support him hitting his team mates. verbal abusing of cars and car makers and even politicians on the show is fine by me.
