Touch Screen Form

Hi,I have an old HTC VIVA mobile which is almost 4 years old. I want to buy new one. I am looking around.I have a question about touch screen form i read for newer mobiles now. My mobile says, it has resistive touchscreen where as new mobiles usually say, they have capacitive touchscreen. My question is, what is a difference between resistive and capacitive touch screen? What difference does it make to the phone?Thanks.

go for xperia j.wont suggest Galaxy s duos untill u really need dual sim phone.xperia j is slimmer, more internal memory, bigger battery than xperia neo l.go for xperia u if u are budget constraint, available for 11000/- (plus discount coupon) on ebay.inonly thing is u cant add memory card and have 4GB user accessible memory.

Thanks for all of your suggestions and big help.I finally bought Sony Xperia J from ebay 12-12-12 sale - i got it for ONLY Rs 12, 650 which is a GREAT DEALNow waiting for delivery I will update here once i receive it.Thanks again friends.----Just want to ask again - it has "1 GHz Cortex-A5" processor - is it really good? i am sure its not dual core but hope its faster than my existing HTC touch viva.can i import excel contact file to this sony phone?which are the best apps to install for android 4.0 ??? (are they all free apps? how can we get them?)

I finally bought Sony Xperia J from ebay 12-12-12 sale - i got it for ONLY Rs 12, 650 which is a GREAT DEAL
