The Indian branch of the Japanese auto giant Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a slightly different version of their premium sedan, Corolla. The company aims to further snatch the sales from its competitors with this variant and plans to achieve a market share of 10 per cent by 2010. However, TKM Director for Marketing Groups Toyohiko Ino has however denied that the company had plans to setting up new facilities at this moment.
He said: ‘’We are currently focusing on sales and manpower reinforcement in order to improve our sales figures”. The company would however have to massive increase their manufacturing capacities to achieve their future goals of attaining 10% market share. The company currently has the capacity to manufacture 60,000 automobiles.
