I doubt anything will happen.. my cable operator will continue to charge 350Rs because he doesnt issue bill.

I use CAS and monthly bill is Rs.200. But generally it is Rs250 for cable in Bangalore

Even I used to pay 250 bucks to the local cable guy for their terrible reception quality. Most of the channel were grainy and they always keep shuffling channels and I have to search for each and every channel. Whenever I complain they keep saying to change the cable wire and it happens again after two months or so. Finally I switched to Videocon D2H.

Would be really tough to get it implemented even if the act / law is passed. They can on the other hand enforce a cap for the DTH tariffs since that is an organized sector, and easier to get things implemented after the mandatory initial resistance from the big wigs backing this industry
