Must be a joke, right ? Airtel and other ISPs team against Facebook ( WhatsApp ), Microsoft ( Skype) and Google ( Hangouts ) ?

They will be flattened even before they can say " we need ". If you don't know, Skype's Indian born head is already in India. And has promised to influence the policy " wherever possible ".

Btw its interesting to know that Google and Facebook are members of COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India) , a body which is against Network Neutrality. lol. And Both when contacted via Medianama about this, they kept silent.

I had said this last year that this whatsapp / facebook has increased revenue of mobile operators.

Earlier normal people did not spend 100Rs on value added services.

Now almost everyone has MINIMUM internet plan which in most case start with atleast 100Rs.

Which means whatsapp has definitely increased their revenue.

BUT well OIL companies are making huge LOSS - so are mobile operators.
