Questions asked:

  1. Copy of policy guidelines authorizing telecom operators to refuse a particular plan to customers in some part(s) of the city which is otherwise being offered in other part(s) of the same city.
  2. If, the above policy guidelines are not available, please give me the name, designation and office address of the competent person/authority who can be approached for making a formal complaint.
  3. Please also provide me the copy of guidelines (or relevant section of Telecommunication Tariff Order, 1999) which authorize telecom operators to offer plans which are not openly listed on the telecom operator’s website (as there are a number of such plans which are not shown on their website but are offered verbally or through locally distributed brochures or by retention team).

Disappointing.

You have become RTI expert!! Which is excellent.

Blame the freaks at HUDA. 10 months to get encroachment blocking public roads removed. Required going to High Court.

By the way... TRAI response for (c) is pretty worrying. It basically allow telecom operators to have plans that have no mention on the official website. This is pretty absurd. They have guidelines requiring telecom operators to showcase plans in TRAI FORMAT I believe... How can they allow ISPs to have hidden plans that are not mentioned on the website at all!

I am not sure if RTI forces them to give accurate answer. It just asks them to respond in timely manner. Response can be vague.

The original order has this:

there are a total of 60 amendments. It's kind of hard to go through all the documents to find out if this was changed or not.
