Do you really think they care about Portability?
By the way, what do you think would happen to these FUP'd 3g unlimited connections? They'll just exist along with regular plans since they switch to 2G mode after exhausting limit and I don't think we'll see a true unlimited wireless connection.

This is consumer friendly. Provider say upto 64 kbps after FUP and they give 8 kbps. while contact customer care they just inform that it is up to 64 kbps and 8kbps (kilo bits per sec) is falling under upto 64kbps !!! Minimum speed is very good move by TRAI. Now the slogan is minimum speed is better than maximum speed because I think it will give at least browsing speed.

1mbps for mobile broadband? Dream on folks.

Now, why the heck would they implement a minimum of 1mbps for mobile connections when a wired broadband connection (which is superior in all ways) is set at 512kbps? I wouldn't be surprised if the minimum speed is set as 256kbps for both 3g/4g/whatever(g) and 25kbps for 2g.
I second that. Spot on.
