for night users, the login and log out time between 12 am and 8 am should not show in the session history.Pls check your previous months histories while you know for sure that you have used the net during night hours are the timings are not logged, provided you login after 12 am and logout before 8 am.This is another goof up in the billing software.regardsDandy

you're WRONG!!

it DOES and it SHOULD!

sneezymelonIf u login at let us say 12.05 am and logout at 7.55 am, it never shows in session history.

Well, sneezymelon. It does and in my opinion it should NOT. This is one thing where I think MTNL can improve. As a former SIFY user I was using packages where it was free to download between 10 pm and 8 am ... and a sify user never had to disconnect/logout. If I check my session at say ... 10.15 there was an logout and a reconnection at exactly 10pm. And, if I forget to log out in the morning and do so at say ... 8.30 in the morning, I only had to pay whatevers been downloaded between 8 and 8.30Now, sify sucks big time and theres no denial but (I never thought I would say this) that this is something MTNL guys could learn from sify's systems. For the record, the whole reason why I dug in to the records of the original poster and started this conversation is that ... last week I got late to switch off my modem by about 5 mins (it was 8.06 according to my stats page). So, I had something around 1.8 GB worth of data downloaded and it showed me just 69 MBs in my stats. Im looking forward for my next bill and Im afraid its going to be a bit ugly :)On a positive side, I have changed my router settings to bridge mode but the damage has been already done.

^ it does show in the session history. but it doesnt count the mb's downloaded. the 'mb's billed' column for that time period will show 0.

surprising... it does not show the night downloads for me. I thought that it was shown only for Delhi subscribers... but as viralbug says that he can also see it... dont know which great company makes the software for MTNL!!!

@venkzeven for me it does not show the night downloads.0 MB coloumn for me refers to time when IPTV is on.

nope no problem as of now.
I have posted reviews in mtnl iptv section.
i have not comared iptv with Tata Sky.

Herez yet another proof of the bug in MTNL's system that I was talking about. Yesterday I downloaded almost 230MB in a single session. And what shows in the last column is 8 MB. Whereas the bytes column shows the actual data that I had downloaded.

And the Grand Total shows the correct usage. I know its correct because I knew that I was downloading 200MB+ data in a single session. It gets misleading sometimes!

Hope this issue gets resolved soon!

As of now, the best way to deal with the problem is to use DataFox.
