I think they really should pivot to blocking ads through dns but using the browser extension to block elements. I tried the lite version and sure it block most ads like before but it does not seem to have element blocker which probably is more useful to me on Chrome than ad blocker.

@Sushubh DNS based adblock is not that good, especially in removing the space left by ads. I love uBlock for keeping websites clean after disabling ads and useless pop-ups.

But yeah, those MV3 limitations makes it less useful.

Personally, I use Brave and Firefox. So, won't experience any problem with it.

uBlock Origin Lite maker ends Firefox store support, slams Mozilla for hostile reviews

The maker of the uBlock Origin Lite extension has ended its support in the Firefox Add-ons Store, citing a "nonsensical and hostile" review process.

This is not the first time a developer has talked about the ridiculously long and nonsensical addon review process of Firefox. From now on, uBlock lite will only be available from Github for Firefox users.

I have talked to this top reviewer in the past. From what I know, all this is voluntary.

Then they need to train them better or fire them. Mozilla has the slowest addon reviewal process. 1Password devs even pointed out once that if you want the latest extension, just get it from their site because Mozilla was taking too long. Smaller developers also don't bother submitting to the Mozilla store. They either put them up on GitHub or don't bother.

They are probably bunch of young adults and/or retired programmers. That's how foss works
