UMG 1831 Sim cards Getting corrupted

From last Saturday my 1831 is corrupting sim cards. Till now 2 sim cards have got corrupted . They work fie in the phone, as soon as i put them in the modem and connect, it gives a sim card error and after that the sim does not work.Any solutions as this is getting frustrating.

must be a problem with modem itself.Have you tried using any other operator SIM ?

have reflashed the modem, earlier was using it in router, after reflashing the airtel sim worked fine, went and got a 3rd sim and as of now its working fine in the modem. Will reset the router and try on the weekend.

I am also facing the same issue. After started using umg1831, Sim card got corrupted thrice.

Three times, so finally what did you do , is it working fine now.
