Unable to browse using Dataone

Dear Friends,

I am new to this forum. For the past 4 days, I am facing following problems:

PC config:
1. Intel Celeron 1.2 Ghz with 1 GB DDRII RAM
2. OS : Windows XP professional and Windows 2003 Server (Enterprise)
3. Internet: BSNL Dataone broadban
4. Modem: Huwawei connected through LAN port.


(1) Since last friday (09-05-2008), I am unable to browse internet, though the status shows that it is connected. I have tried several times but without any success.

(2) I booted with a Ubuntu Live Linux CD and was able to browse internet using Dataone connection.

(3) Thereafter I got, Win 2003 installed, thinking there may be some problem with WinXP, but again wan unable to browse internet though status shows that it is connected.

I would be grateful if any body can provide solution to my problem, as i am unable to carry out my activities relating to e-flling.

do you require to dial to connect to the internet? or does the internet work as soon as you switch on your modem? could you go to the command prompt(start->run and type cmd) .. and type ipconfig and post output here..A screenshot would do..

4. Modem: Huwawei connected through LAN port.
Open in IE http://192.168.1.1/hwhtml/pMain.html
Check summary. See vpi/vci 0_35 shows green icon click "note"
other "bridged' connections may show green icons.
Or go to diagnostics page and report error.

No dialing, just have to put on my modem, and it automatically gets connected.
