Hi, I'm able to connect the internet through my Linksys wireless-G ADSL Home Gateway(wag200g) using ethernet. But I'm unable to connect internet wirelessly using the same device.I've disabled the security in both the device(Laptop and gateway).Please see the current configuration for the Gateway below.BSNL officials in Kolkata are clueless about this.Need your help to get this up and running. Can you ping wireless router when you connected thru WiFi
My Problem is getting connected through wi-fi.I'm only able to connect through ethernet.
My TCP/IP is set to obtain the IP and DNS server address automatically.I also have DHCP enabled.

Are you able to see the available network .??..your setting seems fine to me..what is your OS ?

No I don't see the the Network when I do "View Available Wireless Network".It does not find any network in range.Astonishingly, I was able to see the network once yesterday and got connected.But after 2-3 minutes of having connected network again got disconnected.From then till now I stilldon't get the wireless network.Don't really know what is wrong!!!!

Then it looks like a problem with either hardware or configuration.Are you able to access net from coffee shops or malls thru your laptop? If yes then WiFi gateway might have fault. Either there is hardware issue with it or some config issue.In either case, it might be easier to hand it over to the vendor from where you bought it (assuming that it is still in warranty).

Hi

Can you help me with the connection settings of BSNL broadband on the WAG200G Linksys router. I tried but it didnt work. Following are the settings that I have

PVC0
PPoE
username & password
VPI = 0 VCI = 35
MTU = Auto

Are these settings correct. I would be glad if someone can post the correct settings. This wi-fi router also has a button which says "connect". But clicking on it it does not connect.
