I have taken an MTNL Wifi connection, but I am unable to connect to it. But when I go 192.168.1.1 in my web browser and click the save button in the wireless tab it starts working with my PSP.Can anyone help me out. This results in turning on my PC whenever i need to connect to the internet using wifi on my PSP.This is really important for me.and one last thing i would like to askDoes MTNL really sucks?(well i think so)

You would have to give more details - what security are you using for your wifi? is the broadcast SSID option on or off? Are you entering the settings in your psp manually or leaving it to detect it automatically?

I have HG520 modem and as per my experience, devices are not able to connect at the first try, try connecting again after a few seconds and it works fine.See if it works for you.

Abhishek i ALSO HAVE THE SAME MODEL AND I AM ENCOUNTERING THE SAME PROBLEM IN MY PREVIOUS MODEL I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEM BUT THEN WHEN I GOT THIS ONE IT REALLY SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! THE BASIC STEPS WHICH ONE SHOULD FOLLOW ( IT WORKED FOR ME IN THE PREVIOUS ROUTER ):1.GO TO NETWORK SETTINGS.2.ENTER INFRASTRUCTURE MODE.3.SELECT NEW CONNECTION.4.IN WLAN SETTINGS ENTER MANUALLY5.TYPE THE SSID.YOU COULD FIND IT AT THE WEBSITE 192.168.1.1 ( INTERFACE SETUP, WIRELESS)6.THEN GO TO THE WEBSITE 192.168.1.1 AND THEN GO TO THE INTERFACE SETUP AND THEN TO THE WIRELESS OPTION AND THEN CHANGE AUTHENTICATION TYPE TO WPA-PSK AND ENCRYPTION TO TKIP AND WRITE ANY 8 DIGIT CODE THAT YOU CAN REMEMBER EASILY.7.NOW IN YOUR PSP SELECT WPA-PSK(TKIP) THEN ENTER THAT CODE WHICH YOU HAVE WRITTER EARLIER IN THE 192.168.1.1 WEBSITE8.NOW SELECT CUSTOM ADDRESS SETTINGS9. NOW IN IP NETWORK SETTINGS SELECT MANUAL10.YOUR IP ADDRESS COULD BE FOUND OUT AT THE SAME WEBSITE AT INTERNET SETUP , LAN IT WOULD BE WRITTEN IN THE BOX WHICH SAYS STARTING IP ADDRESS.11.WRITE SUBNET MASK 255.255.255.012.DEFAULT ROUTER 192.168.1.113.PRIMARY AND SECONDARY DSN COULD BE FOUND AT THE VERY SAME SITE AT THE LAN SETUP.14.O PROXY SERVER SELECT DO NOT USE15.THEN JUST ENTER TO EVERY THING THAT COMES AND SAVE IT . I THINK THAT IT MIGHT RUN... AS IT DID FOR MY PREVIOUS ROUTER..IF THIS HELPED PLS REPLY!!!

Hey I tried what you saidatul but am still not able to get my psp to work
plz guys do any one know what I need to do.

Just a small correction...Security Type:-WPA-PSK/ WPA2-PSK; Encryption: TKIP; and also enter mac address of psp in Wireless Mac address filter column, and ACTIVATE and then save.Psp > switch on Wifi > network settings > add new > scan > enter> ssid> WPA-PSK (TKIP), wpa key> easy.....save and test.
