unable to download any file except zip

Hi friends, I got a problem with broadband.The net is getting disconnected for every half an hour and I i am unable to download any other type of files except .zip files.Any one help me to solve this problem plzzzzzz

I also experienced this problem. My line automatically disconnected after 20(exactly) minutes. I formatted and re-installed Windows. After that there is no problem
