Unable to open few sites

I have subscribed to BSNL broadband 900ul plan one month back. For first 15 days it worked absolutely fine. But from last 15 days I could not access few important sites like http://www.gmail.com (occasionally accessible), Sign In (always inaccessible), ICICI direct.com (always inaccessible).

I tried to change the DNS with several other IPs like one provided by opendns, mentioned in other threads like 4.2.2.1 / 4.2.2.2.

Moreover I tried to change MTU of my modem from 1492 to 1460 / 1450 / 1500.

I am not sure how to proceed with this. My modem model is WA1003A (Huawei ADSL WiFi).

Kindly help me.

If you are using IE enable cookies. Add the sites in secured zones.
ICICI try this web site ICICI direct.com :: Home

Or try FireFox browser. Select add-on IETAB to switch over to IE browser.

Thanks for the response. I wish it is that simple. I can open these site when I try dial-up connection. I bring my laptop regularly to the office there I could open the site. Interestingly I could open these mentioned site 15 days back but suddenly without making any changes in ADSL router or antivirus or firewall, the sites stopped responding. So I felt that this is more of a BSNL broadband issue than my browser or firewall setting. More to add: I also tried mozilla and opera browsers. The result remained same. Thanks,Exchange

Problem Laptop + modem Wa1003A some sites don't open gmail hotmail icici etc.

1.open these site when I try dial-up connection.
is it a dialup56k connection and not broadband using this modem in "bridged" dialup mode ?If latter modem settings OK.
2.I bring my laptop regularly to the office there I could open the site.
laptop OK .(and works with present TCP/IP settings most likely auto IP and DNS. and with a different modem)
3.could open these mentioned site 15 days back
all settings OK.

Conclusion : Laptop TCP/IP , ethernet card , wireless lan adapter settings OK..
(Also tried different DNS and MTU settings.).
No changes in any settings of laptop required
No changes in modem also required.
ONLY place fault likely connection to BSNL Broadband connection ?
Para two : : Start run type cmd type tracert ICICI and gmail . post results
when used at home and when used in office.

With given input: Try to locate the fault in the set up,
where internet filtering is taking place for these sites ? laptop/ browser/ firewall/modem/bsnl server ?

Thanks. But actually using a proxy site would be the last preference for me. I cannot put my stock trading password through an untrusted proxy. Is there any better solution? -Exchange

3. Please give details of the modem and or router you use and the OS. ( assume isp BSNL)
4. Whether the problem is sudden, but earlier you were able to access the sites.
5. Try this program .:: TrackZapper ::. Shredder - SystemCleanser - Anti Spam Filter - PopUP Killer - Spyware-Adware Remover - Connection Booster - Personal Firewall -Privacy Guard - Phishing Zapper download the connection booster.
Try default values. It changes some MTU/MSS/TTL settings.
