Unable to open shaadi.com, bharatmatrimony.com

I recently took BSNL broadband 250 home plan. Last 3 to 4 days, i am unable to open Shaadi.com or Keralamatrimony.comEven gmail sometimes refuses to open but shows up in google.com. Same with Shaadi.com. I click the link, but nothing happens. The usage site at BSNL has not been updated from 3 Jan 2008. I am really getting frustrated. I have not blocked at sites in my browser options. Please help. Is it worthwhile to shift to Airtel 699 unlimited after 3 months (minimum hre period!)and will be UT300RTU model work with Airtel connection or should i buy their modem again. Please inform me. The Airtel cc guys pick up the phone in around a minute for my mobile. The BSNL cc guys may connect after around 15 minutes to 30 minutes whenever i call them for my internet queries. To get my portal id, i spent almost 2 hours with the receiver in my hand and my ears numbing with hearing the recorded voices insisting that we are their valuabe customers! and that we should continue to hold the line (even if it takes a whole day). The other day, some guy held on to a car at Garuda mall for 72 hours and won the car, what do we win?!

If u have filled in "married" in the marital status in the form when u applied for BSNL, these sites will not work. BSNL uses adaptive filters. So u will have to apply for a new BSNL connection and fill in ur marital status as "single"

TO address the orginal problem ( browsing issue, and not advice on searching for the girl )
may not be the best solution, but here is how it can be done.
try routing your traffic through a public proxy servers.
like the ones listed here
Proxy 4 Free - Public Proxy Servers, Anonymous Proxy, Proxy List - Protect Your Online Privacy!

But beware, there is no guarantee of security ( i can run a proxy server and cache all the information at my end)
But for shaadi sites, it should not be much of a concern.

I have tried it ( i tried 203.199.177.121:80 a proxy server hosted in india ( in list 1 on the above site), and it works.. u can choose any servers that u get good ping to.
I would suggest, setting up the proxy just for that purpose and DONT forget to unset it. ( the way i tried is, normal browsing in ffox and proxied traffic in IE. ) u can use ur own choice of browsers..

btw this will work for other non-matrimony sites u might be seeing blocked ..

So trytoday's threads and there after, yesterday etc, and dig out old unsolved threads.. We are answering the same question/s again and again with different thread titles, and with the introduction of tags, things are improving to refer old threads and give correct advice/comments/solutions..
