The sites listed aren't even malicious to begin with, i think it probably is some toolbar or something that access these sites to get you content, i suggest you look into that.
the sites/s you have mentioned are not virus type.For Instance Jinx.com is online store targetting gamers..May be you got them while you were playing games in your computer.
slashmysearch is a refined search engine.
You can uncheck all these programs , in the startup list ( if they appear )in AWC.
Para two : Start/Control Panel/Add/remove software/Windows Components
Select IE uncheck to uninstall. Again Check to reinstall.
OR download a fresh version from Internet Explorer Download
If you have not updated XP/IE better do it now.
