yes, I have also read a lot that G.DMT is more stable mode and when I do multimode, it connects to G.DMT mode only but not at 8 mbps but at 10 mbps... see this

ADSL Line Status
ADSL State Show Time Data Path Interleave

DSP D.57.2.17 Operation G.DMT
Version Mode
Output 12.4 dB
Power
Upstream DownStream
ADSL Link 960 Kbps ADSL Link 10208 Kbps
Speed Speed
Previous 928 Kbps Previous 10016 Kbps
Tx-Rate Rx-Rate
SNR 6 dB SNR 7.0 dB

CRC 0 CRC 0

Attenuation 17.0 dB Attenuation 33.5 dB

ONE THING OF NOTE : WITH G.DMT Attn. improves to 17 and 33.5 (from 21 and 41.5 of ADSL2+) but SNR goes other way to 6 and 7 (from 8 and 10 for up and downstreams) so in a way, improvement in attn. but further degradation in SNR... which will affect more ?

Data path always remain at Interleave. (not fast).. any difference with that ? and how to change that if any option

May be in contrast but my feeling is that I am getting a bit better stable connection with ADSL2+ instead of G.DMT. In multimode, it goes to G.DMT so as per a reply above, G.DMT is DSLAM's mode but still in ADSL2+ mode, it remains bit more stable. Theory and practical groin different way it seems here. . . .
