hi guys, since the launch of MTNL IPTV, my tension has been to buy a good TV, i am currently having a ECTV 21" (nearly 20 yrs old) :) it does not have the option for the 3-wire input! please help me select a good TV, the market is full of varieties and i don;t know wich one to buy! The TV should last atleast 10 years or so! :)NEED :29 inch TV. Budget is Rs 20k(or less).anything more should i mention? need good quality picture and sound and should play DVD movies 'IN' DVD format!:)ps: didn't see any other suitable section under wich could have posted the request!

I will suggest you to go for tft lcd in 20K may be you will get a little smaller approx 20" of space to fit out it but it will workkkkkkkkkk

LCD was an option, but higher end 26" is about 34k.also since HDTV etc are still to make a mark in INDIA in years to come, it won't be a better option since one won't be using the technology to its fullest! (that's my opinion)! also read somewhere that lots of R&D going on in LCD field and wait and watch for a year or so, the prices are falling and new developments occur, so for now for mea 29" TV (flat screen/crt, whatever) will suffice!also my budget is less than or equal to Rs 20,000.

Sony all the way... don't go in for extra sub-woofers or something on those lines. Sony includes quality speakers in their TVs so nothing extra is actually required.

projection tv are heavy and expensive na? true that they give their value for money, but, still you won't find much of it here (the rear projection tv thing!) atleast i haven;t seen any advertisements or anything abt them for years now!
