Using Other Modem with Tikona

Hi , Currently I am on 4mbps Plan (950) BSNL .I am planning to shift to Tikona (for better pings and speed plus Affordable Plans ) So I am having two questions : 1. I own a Type-2 Modem (DNA-A211i Wifi + 4 LAN Ports ) purchased at the time of installation . It has 1 RJ11 Port and 4 LAN Ports .
I want to know that Can I use this modem as a Wifi Access Point on Tikona ? If yes then I will revert back later for asking configuration. If NO , then kindly Suggest me an affordable and powerful Wifi Router ( with better range ) 2. I would also like to get reviews from existing Tikona customers regarding Speed, reliability , Ping and Support .If possible kindly post/attach a speedtest.net result with (Joister Mumbai Server ) .Pings are important for me as I am a gamer and usually play CS .Apart from this I would like to know how to increase the Effective range of Wifi .. I purchased a new smartphone but my Wifi Signal just drops to 20% after 2 walls ( Hardly 4-5meters ) and The internet does not works and I face timeouts. After searching few websites , I found that the Advance Setting of Wifi Router can be tweaked to improve range . If any one have any idea regarding this, please do help me I already tried reducing Beacon Interval and Multicast Rate but No Luck .

Regarding to ur 1st issue. You cannot use ADSL model. So, just take a router where you can connect

And tikona BB has been good for me till date, no problem in bangalore

yes you can configure your adls+ modem router to use with Tikona. I have a router and a adsl2+modem/router. you would need to plug the rj45 ethernet to one of your lanports and configure. i am on Linksys WAG160n (adsl modem/router) and Asus RT-10+ (router)
1) Advanced Setup-> Layer2, Add atm0 with default settings2) WAN Service -> Add with Bridge type selected, keep others default3) Wireless ->Enable Wireless, and give your own SSID, keep others default4) Wireless-> Security-> Give Network Authentication as WPA-Personal, and passprase will be your own password to connect to WiFi5) Interface Grouping -> Give a group name as WAN, and select WL0, LAN2, LAN3, LAN4 from right to left, Apply/Save. Now there should be 2 groups one Default with LAN1 and other with new Group Name6) LAN -> In the right top dropdown select WAN group and disable DHCP, Apply/Save7) Management->Settings->Backup your settings8) Management -> Reboot
if it doesnt match configuration in your adsl configuration see if you can select bridge mode and then disable DHCP

you guys even read before you reply? he hasn't taken a tikona connection yet how can he provide Tikona User ID!!!!! as per my knowledge you need to take a subscription/connection from you guys for id.

Kindly read the post properly .. I am asking for connection and I am currently not a subscriber of Tikona .On calling the demo person , He replied that signal is not available in your area and we cannot provide you with a connection .. He was ready to install a New tower ,but again he replied that Even tower will not work due to congestion between LOS . It's my request to kindly install a tower in my area ( Nearby place) and forward the concern to Appropriate Department .
