How can i configure UT300R2U modem to get the best performance. I am a new user.

UT-300R2U ADSL MODEM MENU for reference.
If you get connected either in "Dialup mode" or "Alwayson" modem is doing its job.
There is no settings to increase speed ,in the modem.
All changes to be made in your computer.

I read somewhere that i should configure my router in the browser. So i opened the advanced settings and then the WAN setup, and then i bridged ppoe_0_35_1.

it does not improve performance but it is must to set values between 0 & 35 if you want to connect using bsnl broadband.bridge mode means you have to manually connect to net using windows dialer & entering your username/password in the connection window whereas in pppoe mode you just have to turn your modem on & you will be automatically connect to net after saving your username/password for first time in modem & then connect.
