It uses actual sapphire material. You are buying a jewelry not a smartphone. Comparing it with mortal phones is well not justified.

As has been said several times already, Vertu phones are not aimed at regular or techie people. They are aimed at a very sophisticated audience who wants exclusivity. The market is small yes but that does not mean they have to offer the latest or the best technical specifications. What matters is quality of material. The display on this phone is made up of sapphire I believe which makes it practically indestructible unless of course you are going to use a diamond scissor.
