Just Calculate the cumalative of all packages: i)Assume a subscriber is subscribe to Tamil Basic and he wants to view all New packages that Sun Offers.It'll come around 360 excluding tax.That's huge since Dish TV Offers at 350 maxi package (including tax).In that you can view extra channels apart from what SunDirect Offer.After including Tax,it'll come around 400. Even we remove the Tamil Extra (assuming it's free for Tamil Basic Subscriber),it still cost 350 as equivalent to Dish TV Maxi Package but less channels.And Toon Disney is coming only in Pluto Plus.It's not included in any of those combined packages (Very Funny) So,frankly speaking,Sun Direct works for you if you want only to view Basic Package.In that case,it'll beat Dish TV or Tata Sky where you need minimum 150 to subscribe.Sun New Packages115--Venus Plus115--Neptune Plus55--Sports10--Tamil Extra75--Any basic Package--------Total--360------RegVasanthAnother worst thing is "Minimum Subscription for any package is 3 months".Not understood this concept. DishTV, it is 100 not 150 !( 150 only if you need Sun package) ! Dish Freedom is 100RS (but very few channels -the one i just opted this month for) !

Yes appus,accepted, But comparing it with Sun Direct you need to include Sun Package too.So totally it'll come 150 inclusive of tax.Obviously,you will miss some channels like Jaya Plus,Angel TV which is there in Sun Direct. So only i am saying that,people who wants to watch only Basic Package Sun Direct suits them. But if they wants to watch all channels Dish TV Suits.RegVasanth

About Zee sports, I remember you used to say it as crap channel, but you have taken it on CAS?

I was saying it crap because what were they telecasting at that point of time you are talking about 9 months when you left this forum. After they started to show ICL matches and they tied up Tensports for UEFA Champion League....... In the initial phase of ICL i did not see it but in the second phase i did see the some of the ICL matches for few mins in Tensports....I liked it little bit and also i watched it little bit and that is one of the reason i bought Zee Sports.....and other reason is that they are telecasting UEFA Champions Legaue which some times i might see it and finally I bought Zee Sports hoping that i might be able to see some quality live sporting activities.......Above if its a crap or not a crap i have also mentioned 9 backs when you were active in tis forum i wanted all the sports channel in my TV by any means and that is also one of the reasons.....Last but not least i am just paying a Peanut of Rs. 5 for Zee Sports so it does not make any difference.

You know onething i have been with CAS for 5 months......for the 1st 4 months i opted for 11 pay channels which includes Zee Music and other English movie channels and at that point of time i was with family pack of TS but now i had shifted to new pack where in i have i subscribe to 6 channels and i had dropped Zee Music and other channels too .......I dropped Zee Music it because in that most of the timethey telecasted only traliers and ads and also another FTA channel B4U music too.

Finally its all depends on each individuals thing what they want and they dont want. I need not justify why i had chosen the channel which i told its crap(9 months back)...........Anyway offtopic lets stop it here.

One must not forget the fact that Star channels and Sony channels are rivals to Zee Network and they purposely took Dish TV to courts but finally gave their channels due to pressure from TDSAT.

Just tell me if all Zee channels are available in Tata Sky, I don't think so. Again you see it is the rivalry between Star and Zee. So please avoid such posts.
You are correct and i agree with you but to be honest some might require those channels in TS but some may not require it. At this point of time i dont require those zee channels even i dont require some of the star channels and even i dont require some of the sony channels......
In Indi GEC i require only following channels Star Plus, Zee TV, Sony and i watch these channel at very minimal time...... but other channels such as Star One, Star UTsav, Sab TV, Sahara One i dont even watch it.........:wall:. Even in Regional languages i watch only Tamil Channels......... So my TV viewing is all about Sports Channels, Science&News Channels, Tamil Channels, Little bit of English and Hindi movie channels.

There are almost 22 Tamil satellites channels are there out of which i watch hardly 10 Tamil Satellite Channels........I dont care if imayam tv or Win TV is coming or not.......or even Tamilian TV too............which i dont watch at all.........

don't you guys think that the new packages introduced by sun direct are too costly, because if you the channels that were included in new packages by sun will not worth for that money for example if you see for Venus pack cost you 60 bucks for 6 channels and infact the actual cost of those channels for dth id around 30 bucks. so they are also just coming into the business of making money from customers.the only good thing is they are not forcing customers, but their packages are very costly and not worth for the money.

One thing i dont understand why SunDth is charging Rs. 20 for Tensports as in alacarte basis Tata Sky is providing the same channel at Rs. 15. I think if they have good relation with broadcasters they could bring down the rates whil will help the Sun DTH customers:thumbsup:
