Very Low D/L speed even at 5am...

Hi all,

im very new to this forum but i'm very old BB user i jus used it for mail purpose but since i had some imp file download which is over 300mb i tried to D/L during free hr it sucks...seeing the speed & i'm using 500H/P...and my speed is really sad....its jus 15.9KB/sec...

My test results:

Try a different browser like FireFox 3.0
mention your modem model.
Run this free program and clear dud registry entries etc from your computer.
AWC personal from iobit.com keep start up programs to minimum.
and ccleaner from filehippo.com regularly.
Test speed at speed test. net and report for Mumbai and Brisbane servers.
after above actions.

Line attn is high. Did you try AWCpersonal CCleaner etc ?
Anyway try program TCP/IP optimiser from speedguide.net.
see the web site's recommendations.

How you have connected your modem and telephone ? Any parallel telephones?
Move the slider to 2000 ( kbps)
Change MTU to 1492 and try
Try DRTCP all default values first.

I dont get enough speed as well friend but then I contacted xchange nd they said it depends on the condn of da ph lines.As in many areas lines have been laid many years ago now according to them its impossible 2 repair them so its a lottery how god a speed u get( they actually said that). So try everythin nd if still no improvement bear with it like I do.:wall:
