:(I am running Homeplan 1000 giving upto 2Mbps (technically)

well the thing is that for the first week that I had this (got this around 10 days back) I was gteting blazing speeds of upto 300kbps constantly, even at night. But for the past 3-4 days, the speed during the day time have been pretty decent (not fine) fluctuating between 50 - 150 kbps. occasionally touching the 200 mark. However, what sucks is that at night, it cannot even touch and stay at 25 kbps, remaining between 5- 17 kbps.

I thought maybe something wrong with with my connection, but speednet shows me this.

I mean, wt*.:mad: any ideas why this is happening?

{my apologies if this has been posted before}

Just for the record, I have a Huawei SMARTAX MT800 router. I have a doubt that my router is anyways jacked up, as when it is switched on, all the telephones in the house get that irritating hiss (associated with the modems)
. Also, when the reciever of any phone is picked up, the adsl connection is lost. Is this normal?

INFO: Modem AX MT800 Problem : slow speed at nights: Tariff Home 1000Suggestions:step 1Telephone Jack REMOVE all telephones and extension. Steps: Telephone junction Box from BSNl rj11 to SPlitter LINE Splitter PhonePORT===>>RJ11==>> All Phones Splitter ADSL PORT====>>RJ11====>>> MODEM ==RJ45>>ComputerCheck SNR and Attn data NOW and after above reconnections ( if needed) ) Any Improvement ?Test speed at night same server. ( Any other electronic equipment,likely to cause Rf interference/pickup, in the night being used ? )

non... a newer line was recently re-laid, connections were rechecked! It happens only at nite. Also, no electronic devices plugged in (except a caller id...(?) on the main line). Will try it out, else I will complain to the exchange people.any comments about the Router?
