They are like when we have an in-built ad blocker, why do you need ublock? Also, the changelog only mentions a deprecation notice will be displayed. Weird.
 
heh yeah i had to go through the entire changelog to see that mention.

honestly, dns blockers do a pretty good job at blocking ads. even ublock website has a dns product though it appears to be an unofficial product. ublock was great at removing visual garbage and this is where lite version struggles a bit.


i am not sure if it is possible to offer ublock origin featureset as a core part of the browser without using mv3. but it is something that these companies should look into because it is getting extremely dangerous to browse the web without a good adblocker.
 
also i really found it cute that the page they open to showcase that the browser has been updated... mentions... your choice. your way of browsing. your privacy.

vivaldi is a lol browser


the company should have forked blink or found a way to use mozilla's rendering engine. vivaldi has been super disappointing from the start.
