Nokia, Ericsson say no to supplying 5G gear to Vi on credit

European telecom gear makers Nokia and Ericsson have refused to supply 5G equipment to Vodafone Idea (Vi) on credit, people aware of the matter said. Financially stressed Vi, which has yet to place an order for 5G equipment, was seeking relaxation in payment terms, they told ET.

It seems Vi has launched its 5G services in select cities in 17 circles according to this Vi 5G Coverage article that I found. Unsure if other Vi users meeting the recharge or postpaid plan criteria have successfully managed to latch on to a Vi 5G signal, even if they reside in the covered areas and have a Vi SIM. Sorry if external links are not allowed. Please let me know and I shall remove it.
