I saw ad in HT today abt vodafone offering 1Re/min all over india for just 31Rs a month. so just wanted to let ppl know if they dont already knowmove which was somewhat expected after 1.30Rs/min STD, rent freehow abt reducing national SMS to 1Re/sms now? else ppl wud call and speak out the shayaris, instead of sending SMS :p

if you activate that pack for 31RS, all call charges local/vodafone-vodafone also will cost 1Re. So if you have offer of vodafone-vodafone 30paise and vodafone-other @ 50ps, then all will be changed to 1Re. so beware !! i had faced this with 77 initially and then 111 !!

actually its for those who make more STD calls, i.e. atleast more than 90 mins per month. else 1Re local is anyway already there without rent.

yeah.. 103 minutes precisely :

1.30 RS for std otherwise.. if you use more than 103 minutes (30.9), then only it is worth.. :)

my dad looks interested in this plan. but he already has a reliance connection so i expect them to launch some plan to take on this one.

fully faltoo plan. to make your std call cheaper, make local calls expensive!! thats what this is

yes but vodafone software shud be smart enough to detect that person already has a plan with lower tariff, and it shud either reject the recharge coupon or activation code or warn the user.like when person sends SMS 'ALL' to 111 , it shud detect such low tariff plan and ask user to send 'ALL FORCE' if he still wants to opt for the plan.but then vodafone wudnt do this even if it can. else how will they loot?

umm. if the subscriber is stupid enough to not keep a check on plans, why would company bother about them?airtel would not move you to a cheaper plan if they launch one offering the same services. (broadband). it benefits some, is a loss making deal for others.
