Vodafone Postpaid bill paid in advance?

I took Corporate plan for Vodafone. Billing starts on 5th of every month. I took connection on 29 June. I was told that bill would be for first 5-6 days.
But when I got bill, it included first 6 days of last month, and also included 5 July to 4 August period as well.
So I wanted to know, do Vodafone charge bill for coming month in advance?
For the Idea Postpaid connection which I have, generally bill comprises of last month rental + usage.
If Vodafone asks bill in advance, the how come its Postpaid, its Prepaid

The monthly rental component of your bill is in advance. The usage charges and other service charges (like data) are post paid. So when you terminate your connection Vodafone will owe you the advance rental.

Thanks. So now in July, I am paying monthly rental. Then in August, I would be paying "Monthly rental for August" + "Usage charges of July"?Didn't expect this type of billing.

Which Value added Services?
I dont have any VAS subscribed for my Vodafone postpaid number. Just monthly rental of Rs 149 (+ tax).
Monthly rental is collected in advanced, while extra usage charges (calls/sms after free limit) would be charged in next month's bill. I have confirmed this from Vodafone CC.
